Cookies and browser storage
Recycling Centre uses browser storage to remember choices that make the finder more useful. It does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Clicky analytics
The production site uses Clicky to count visits and show which pages people use. The site disables Clicky tracking cookies and removes page query strings before its analytics script starts.
Clicky does not receive your saved postcode, precise browser location, saved centres, email address or a custom user ID from this site. The privacy page explains the usage data that Clicky can process.
Saved location
A successful postcode, town or browser location search can save a small record in local storage. It contains coordinates, the source, the save time and an optional postcode or town label. It expires after 30 days.
Use “Clear” or “Clear location” in a finder to remove it sooner. This record stays in your browser.
Saved and recent centres
Location pages can store centres that you save and a short list of centres you viewed recently. These records contain the centre name, page path and listed address. They stay in your browser until you clear them from a location page.
Browser controls
You can remove this site’s stored data through your browser settings. Blocking local storage can stop saved locations and saved centres from working, but you can still browse the site and run a new search.
